Lille, Biogas use in buses

Lille has been developing during the last 20 years a policy to enhance the use of public transportation systems. More particularly since 1990 an urban programme has been on-going towards exploiting biogas produced by biomass accumulated at the local sewage treatment plan. Hence a renewable source of energy is exploited giving rise to sustainable development associated to emission free transportation.
